Reservation & Payments – Space at the Cripple River Camp is limited, so reservations should be made as soon as possible. An initial payment of $175 is required at the time of registration (initial payment is non-refundable and non-transferable). All outstanding balances and documentation must be received by the Alaska Department on or before June 1, 2011. Non-payment is subject to cancellation. If you register after June 1, 2010, payment in full is required and may be subject to additional fees.
Payment Plans – The GPAA offers affordable payment plan options that are customized to meet the requirements of your trip. Payment plans are offered with no interest or penalty fees and are deducted in equal monthly installments every third Thursday prior to your trip. Opting for the payment plan also guarantees that your trip space is reserved for you. All major credit and/or debit cards are accepted for the payment plans.
What is Included – The 2011 Alaska Expedition price is offered at $1,350 per person (base price). Each additional week is $950, except the sixth week which is $750, but only if reserving multiple weeks. The sixth week price does not apply if participating only one week, base price required. Special offer: Pay for five weeks and get the sixth week free. Ground transportation provided between Nome Airport and the Cripple River Mining Camp for arrivals and departures. Lodging, meals, prospecting and mining equipment, classes and seminars are included. The price does not include personal items, ATV’s, fishing licenses, gifts, etc. The Alaska Expedition price does not include cost of airfare (see travel information). A complete list of “what to expect” and “what to bring” will be in your confirmation packet. Must be 12 years or older to participate.
Trip Schedule – Current plans are to operate the Cripple River Mining Camp between June 25th, 2011 and August 7th, 2011. These are seven-day weeks with the choice of Saturday-to-Saturday arrival and departure or Sunday-to-Sunday. Non-standard arrivals and departures may be arranged prior to your trip beginning (subject to fees).
Cancellations – Payments are refundable (less initial) only if GPAA is notified in writing no later than April 1, 2011.
Travel Information – The Expedition cost does not include airfare to Nome. Participants are responsible for acquiring and making their own travel airfare arrangements to Nome. The GPAA will require a copy of the travel itinerary of arrival and departure dates no later than June 1, 2011. Trip begins and ends at the Nome Airport. The GPAA highly recommends you acquire travel insurance.
Accommodations – Participants will be assigned to a four or six-man hooch or couples/partners to a two-couple, semi-private hooch. No promises or guarantees will be given for special accommodations or requests. Outer Camp trip reservations are available on a first-come basis depending on availability.
Trip Documents – When reservation(s) are confirmed, the GPAA will send documents that will be required to be completed and returned. A liability waiver will be included relieving the GPAA of responsibility. Other forms may be required. All required documents are due on, or before, June 1, 2011.
ATV Rentals – There are a limited number of ATV’s available at camp for rent. The price is $370 per trip week. Advance payments are required, or $65 a day paid in camp. Both are on a first- come, first-serve basis. Fuel fees may apply. Please mark on the reservation form if you are interested in an ATV rental and for how many weeks. Must be 16 years or older to operate the ATV’s (prices are subject to change).
