    Hello all!

I have been looking at a Gold Buddy Power Hibanker and really can't find many reviews on it from current owners.  They sure don't have the videos out on YouTube like Gold Hog does.

    I'm looking at model # 7820.

Does anyone have any experience with this model or similar?

    Many thanks,

Hmmm The lack of responses is quite a response.

I guess it's back to looking at Keene & Gold Hog....

Have you seen one live? Or gotten a chance to use it yourself? If you buying one from a store, even if online but they also may have a real store front. Call them see if they put you in touch with someone who bought one. In the 2 years I have been doing this, I have noticed that the store owners are just like the rest of us miners, goid people.

    Rob,

I bought a Keene 2.5" combo from Tammy and Tony at Crissons in Dahlonega. I love the machine and have only used it as a highbanker so far. If you can wait a bit, there may be a demo day coming up at a local LDMA camp with Au Porcine products...

    Thank you for the help!!

I saw a Gold Hog Raptor Flare work this past weekend at Alabama Gold Camp. (We had miserable results...but that's another story). The Raptor was smaller than I had thought.

I like the price tag on the Gold Buddy models - probably half of Keene & Gold Hog. Thank you for the positive feedback.

William - if you had it to do over again, would you buy the same model?

    Rob,

I recently purchased a Mini-Highbanker from  Gold Hog.  They had excellent service and shipped it really quickly after I told them that I was rushed for time as friends from Florida were coming to town for a prospecting outing.  Sadly, we got rained out and I got the flu as well.  Anyway, I haven't fired it up yet in the field, only a brief test run with a pair of 12v bilge pumps in a recirculating tub in my yard.  But it looks real nice and the reviews are good, and I can personally say that I received great customer service from Gold Hog.

    Cheers,

    Rick

It's just my opinion, but I would not buy a claim on E-Bay.

Did you or did you not buy the claims you are talking about.Buying on E bay is not smart.

I just bought one 2" combo. I am wondering about angle and motor speed (hi, lo, etc.). I haven't used it yet and would like to shorten the learning curve.
