I recently bought a used drywasher with no motor or battery. I was wondering what battery i should get for it? Im putting a 12v/24v 3000/6000rpm 1a/2a electro magnet motor on it with a speed control on it. Ive looked and looked online and cant find which battery to buy. Ide like to keep it as light as possible but able to run for atleast 6 hours.

      Welcome Andres,

Most people go with a small tractor/lawnmower battery, they're about 10" x 6" or smaller. They are way lighter than a car battery, so you can hike with it in a backpack. They will go all day & sometimes all weekend.

Have never used one but this type of device may be an all in one device. Jump auto, run lap tops, charge cell and GPS units. Battery itself is around two pounds. Maybe someone out there knows more about these. Cost is about $100 to $170 for a diesel jump capability (more AH) powered by ion battery.  #XP1 antigravity micro-start jump starter kit -- XP-1 for Gas Vehicles, ATV's, motorcycles  This is listed to jump a car about 20 times - should be good power and should be able to recharge from solar or when warming up vehicle. Most ions also seem to have long life span.

a good 12v battery will do, if you can pack the extra weight keep a solar charger close by for it so you can charge it
