Black Hills Rockhound Area

I grew up close to here and never knew about it so I stopped and got some white agate float.. very interesting place. It's close to the big copper mines of Stafford and Morenci. It's on the road to Morenci from Stafford use GPS to find it's a tricky turn off..

When you get to the main parking lot where you sign in, go across the main road to the right side of the hill. You will see see a wide swath of white float coming down the hill. Most of it is white but you can occasionally find a colorful one. Some have a sort of hologram of color.
