Dickinson 6
Step 1 of 1
Dickinson 6
This claim is mine and my sons go to place when we dont feel like going exploring somewhere new. We run a Gold cube three stack with a trommel and get an acceptable amount of fines here every time. Make no mistake, you are going to work here. Dig down until you hit the white sand caliche and stop there. You can punch through the white caliche if you want but your going to be in unknown territory. The white caliche plays hell with the stock mats in the gold cube so we try not to get too much of it in our buckets. Access is doable with a 2wd truck, make sure you turn left at the claim jumper grave, to the right is an LDMA claim (I think).

Gold
Step 1 of 1
Gold
I’m handicapped so I can’t dig as hard as healthy Prospectors therefore I didn’t go as deep as I should have. There are rivers and puddles of black sand in the small washes. Decided to run that through my highbanker. Had flour gold in every bucket. A couple flakes too.

Gold Panning at Dickinson 6
Step 1 of 1
Gold Panning at Dickinson 6
This was my first visit to Dickinson 6 (2/25/2021). I used a shovel to dig one hole in a wash. Obtained two gallons of pay dirt after screening it down to 1/4 inch. I wet panned the two gallons of pay dirt and found fifteen pieces of gold. All pieces were small flakes of gold. I included a picture of the Claim Jumper Grave that tells you that you are very close to the ingress point to the Dickinson 6. This was a good day for me. I will return to this claim.

Glad these claims are still open
Step 1 of 2
Glad these claims are still open
4th of July digging 10 buckets to run through my Gold Cube back home. So much easier running this stuff through a drywasher but with the fire restrictions in place I figured I'd see if my results were better with my Cube. Lots of clay which really gums up the Cube and slows down the process but I probably didn't lose as much of the fine gold as I would with a washer.
