Not sure if i found right spot theres few in area and claim i found not match name of claim on this site exactly.. least couple other claim in area and i want to be sure i get it right.. the steep rock slide spot. Is not the gpaa claim. Its at far end of canyon.where its not so steep but visibilty limited and brush thick. Sarvis berry n cedar a heck of a thing.. no trail i can find. Not even sure if safe to do alone or with out an epirb. Not kid or wife kinda spot. Rugged. Need skills pack n gear.. mby be willing camp at river to get more than half day after hike in.going back with my garmin gps backpack. Bear gun.. biger than pistole looks grizzy.. spray. And bringing friend.. to be updated once make way in. Hard access good gold. And looks silly good. Im eagerly waiting to go back and drop into the canyon. And do some test pans.. dont bring a big sluice or huge pack
Think ultralight.

Spent a couple days poking around down in this beautiful canyon. This area holds a special place in my heart. Nice to find some gold. Planning on going back, found some good gold, but think there is better spots. Word is that there is old placer mine, pretty sure I’m seeing where it was worked in past, not sure when that was last seriously mined. Love to hit this spot with a mask/wetsuit🤔

There is gold here with TONS of black sand. Very limited and very steep access to creek.

Don't waste your time. The GPAA has lost all of their claims in Mineral County due to lack of payment over a year ago and still continues to fraudulently advertise these claims as being available to members. Very disappointed in this organization!
