It has been a dream of mine to go into mineral exploration full time. I know that when people usually post that kind of thing here they get laughed down, but just hear me out. I have been mapping on google earth mines that were historically closed before WWII. I have a few hundred mines mapped out that are currently unclaimed. These range throughout the rockies but primarily in AZ, NV, CO, ID, and MT. My goal wouldnt necissarily be mining for gold, it would be staking mineral properties ...

I am a 38 year old engineer that began prospecting in February 2020. Mostly drywashing in the Coolgardie area and sampling around Silverwood Lake. I have also done a bit of detecting but with no success. I live in Folsom, I'm looking for anyone who is interested in joining me locally for an easy dig spot I came across the other day with my kids. I didn't weigh it however I got a nice smile in my pan after about six gallons of material ran. It is an easy 10 minuet hike to the water from free parking. I'm looking at January 10th, 23rd or 30th to meet up. Other times and places in the future.
