8 Replies and 2391 Views Who's ready to get out and find some treasure/gold  2391  8 Started by  aztreasurehunter@outlook.com If anyone is interested in meeting up to go do some treasure hunting or gold mining/panning please let me know. I am new to the hobby and enjoying every moment. That said i have my own equipment so I am ready to go. I prefer to prospect and explore with a group. It gets kind of sketchy being in the desert by yourself.

3 Replies and 1983 Views Arsenopyrite questions/concerns from a newbie  1983  3 Started by  alex.nutu@student.prescott.edu Hi friends, I am very new member and new to prospecting, I found a place near Prescott that had signs of digging around it on open land, and I came across what I think is ArsenoPyrite, lots of it, in addition to regular pyrite and maybe some chalcopyrite. Is it safe to handle Arsenopyrite does one need gloves, a mask, or should I not even bother with the stuff I got freaked out when I identified the mineralization I found as Arsenopyrite, have never heard of it before but really don't want Ars...

0 Replies and 1481 Views New Member  1481  0 Started by  davhin67.dh@gmail.com My wife got me a membership for Christmas. And I wanted to introduce myself. I’m located in West Virginia and I know that it’s been said there’s no gold in WV. But I find that hard to believe. Gold has been found in Ohio and in Virginia don’t see how it skipped WV. But anyway just wanted to introduce myself. Just ordered a Gold Bug Pro from Kellyco last night. Look forward to meeting some of you and finding gold. See ya around

1 Replies and 1503 Views Road tripping  1503  1 Started by  beausang.daniel@gmail.com So I’m from Maine and this is our off season. I’m brand new to the gpaa but have been prospecting for a few years now. I’ve recently went through a pretty bad break up and I’m off work for the rest of the month. So what better of a time to go out and dig. Was curious what states out west where still able to be prospected and or what claims I should check out through the gpaa. I would only be bringing a river sluice and pans. Since I will most likely end up be sleeping in my car I won’t have much...

A lot of spent cases and lead. I know this isn’t AZ and that our club has three claims in Hillsboro and I’m headed that way tomorrow; but does anyone know of any places further south, closer to Las Cruces that might be worth taking a look at Thank you a...
