New Member Question 6335 13
Started by dlenfers@hotmail.com
Greetings.
I am trying to get as much information as I can collect on where to head off to when I start prospecting this spring. I am a older retired person, single and my family is raised and off doing their life. I am tired of sitting around the house growing older even faster and I always wanted to give more or less full time prospecting a go. I built a mini RV, one ton Van customized with its own sleeping, storage and chemical camping toilet. ...

Cabin Fever 2302 3
Started by aesplin1@gmail.com
New to the forum, but it's the time of year I started thinking about panning more and more so I thought would share some pics from my best day panning last year. I'm pretty new to prospecting so I joined GPAA up here in Fairbanks, AK last year, and I was hoping to make it to the claim up in Circle, AK last summer. That didn't happen so I just stuck to mining around Fairbanks and I had some pretty decent days with just my pan. These two pics were from my best single day. I...

Gold Basin Arizona Claims Map 13048 4
Started by dixiedesertdigger@gmail.com
So does anyone have a current claims map of the Gold Basin in Satellite view I really don't feel like spending the $75 for the Footprints Map Program when all I want is the Claims info for this one trip. I can study the Topography, Geology and Geography to my liking from the Satellite view in Google Earth but I want to know the boundaries and what Claims or Public Land is around the Bahde Claims. Please I'd really appreciate the assist here. I will be staying out on the Bahde Claims f...

What scale do you like and why 6168 13
Started by civilian_again@yahoo.com
I am going to buy a scale and with so many out there, I was wondering what others might suggest and why. I am looking for the pro's and con's of your model. Of coarse, like everybody else in the world, price is a consideration. I would like it to be portable and the style that opens so the screen and scale are protected. I guess like a pocket scale. .o1 gram accuracy is a must. Thanks!

Alabama national forest question 6986 5
Started by car469999@gmail.com
Hello everyone,
From what I have read panning is permitted in the Talladega National Forest, but prospectors cannot use a dredge, highbanker, or a sluice.
So my question is, what if you own property that is located in the National forest.
Does anyone know if a property owner of land inside Talladega National Forest can use a dredge, highbanker, or a sluice on that property
Thanks for any info on this.

Gold King Creek Alaska Adventures 7113 3
Started by kib@goldkingcreekalaskaadventures.com
Hello,
I would like to introduce myself. I am Kib Cannon and have been mining on Gold King Creek and the surrounding area for over the last 30 years. I am getting older and slowing down, but still have the fire and the passion for gold mining. So I have decided to open up to the public. I still have plenty of virgin ground with a strong pay streak going through it. If you have the fever, you will come home with gold, not just some colors in a pan. I have a nice and modern Infrastruc...

looking for places to highbank in north Ga. 6651 7
Started by golfballbill67@yahoo.com
I am going to north Ga. in just over a week and would like to do some highbanking while there. I have been to gold and gem grubbin 5 or 6 times in the last year. Great place I always have fun and find lots of gems but never much gold. I have ran both the paydirt piles and out of the river there and just didnt find much gold. So I am looking for other places to run my highbanker in Ga. North Ga. would be best but anywhere in Ga. would be helpful and it does have to be in Ga. this trip. I am aware...
