I'm as Green as they come. Need help. 4077 4
Started by gkuhl@huntel.net
My husband and I are going to the Black Hills in a few weeks. We would like to try some panning. Would like to know if the waters are all open for panning in the hills (except the ones that have a claim on them, I don't want to claim jump) Would also like to know if we can pan on an abandoned claim or mine. Any help is appreciated. I know that the GPAA has some claims, but I don't think we're going that far up. Thanks for your help. 8/9/2015 ...

Brotherly Love........ 3304 2
Started by joe_worl@yahoo.com
As stated am semi-new to this although I have built up an assortment of equipment. Assorted screens AND pans, a blue bowl and a desert fox. Have gotten paydirt online and practiced and am now looking forward to heading out and giving it my first go at it. My main question is even though we are all GPAA members nation wide, If I (living in Iowa) decide to go to lets say Co to do some prospecting, are the Co based members ok with that or do (groups) not like...

Staking A Claim 7837 8
Started by dmcelyea@gmail.com
Good morning all. I have seen the process for staking a claim. However, the big question is: How do you find an area in say Arizona that is under BLM control that has no claim on it without traipsing all over the country checking for markers
Thanks and happy prospecting.

GPAA and mineral leases in mn? 3908 1
Started by jmofamily@live.com
Just was wondering if gpaa would be interested in mineral lease auction coming up this fall in the northern minnesota area I am thinking not, for some legal jargon of claim ownership vs mineral rights leased by the state Just trying to think why there is no gpaa site in minnesota. The Minnesota DNR site has all info on this mineral lease auction.

Looking for which chapter is closest to Central California, Columbia CA to be exact. Been awhile since I been back in California. Also funny story to tell, I got a lil too excited when I got my little package and started panning right away, probably should have watched the tutorial video first, long story short I figured out after the fact that I should have seasoned my pan and all the gold that was probably in the dirt that I had in my pan floated away because of the oil bein released from the ...

How about a weights sticky? 6441 6
Started by waugh1198@gmail.com
A weight sticky with the common gram, grain, penny, troy weights would be nice to have somewhere where all would have access to it. Locked as well. Possibly in the tips and tricks page and maybe out on the front page somewhere as well. Just a thought. I know penny and troy, but not committed gram and grain to memory yet.......
