SD & WY 1931 4
Started by postalpotter@gmail.com
I caught the fever. I now have a detector, a sluice, a pan and the urge to go. My first trip as a GPAA member will be to SD ,& WY. If there's anybody that reads this from the local area. I'd like to know which claims have running water in them and which one would be the best for a newbie to start out at.

New Member - Servicemember LF locations in SoCal 2934 9
Started by ccandthings@gmail.com
Good afternoon GPAA Members, New member that just joined after getting the gold fever from my recent visit to Julian, CA where I panned gold with my 6 yr old son at the Julian Co. Been watching Gold Rush the last 8 years and have always wanted to venture out on the weekends or weekdays to pan/sluice for gold. I am a current active duty servicemember located at Camp Pendleton, CA and was hoping to find some great locations (easily accessible safe to park) where I can take my son to pan/sl...

Plumas County Claims 1837 6
Started by mikepanelli@yahoo.com
Fires have made these claims pretty much inaccessible, and if the fire doesn't get you the smoke will. Will be awhile, maybe next year before you can get to them. This includes Joyce in Butte County. The fires there are extreme and we don't want to hamper fire fighters. They have enough on their plate. Hwy.70, Hwy. 89, Bucks Lake Rd., Antelope Lake Rd. Gennesse and Taylorsville Rds. from Beckworth and Portola. Stay safe, Thank You just a heads up.

Tim's 2021 North Yuba River Nugget Hunt 1714 0
Started by smithsgold@aol.com
The tribe has gathered for another year at the Third annual Tim's North Yuba River Nugget Hunt . https://youtu.be/B9buMPhuHyA The Weather was warm and the water was refreshing as the Prospectors searched for that elusive Gold. The River was a bit lower this year so it exposed new areas to work. as Todd aka 'Topcat' has often declared 'It's not all about the gold.' it's the people we share this day with that make it so much fun for everyone. Follow along our journey into the hap...

Gold in Yakima county WA 2916 1
Started by ethanjangel@outlook.com
GOLD RCV T1 Jul 24th 8 miles SE of Nile valley I have found a spot that I think would be the closest gold bearing area near Yakima WA. I have herd there is some gold in the Yakima river but I have checked the areas of that river around Yakima, and I have yet to find anything. The Columbia is simply too far away so that was not an option. ...

---------}》> GPAA CLAIMS DIRECTORY <《{---------- 24940 13
Started by dixiedesertdigger@gmail.com
So I finally found the 'New' Online GPAA Claims Directory under the Community 'Tab'. I filed my report on the Gold Basin AZ Bahde 10 &11 Claims. I will go back and add more pics and perhaps even a more detailed report with more information. Afterwards I began to search other claims to read other reports and I was really shocked to see hardly anyone taking the time to file their reports and the few I saw gave little info or intel. I vividly recall many members requesting it, so I was really ...

Gold in New York State 46993 25
Started by Scott.crum1825@gmail.com
I was travelling across country during my gap year before heading to college. I rockhounded a little bit and was stopping into a shop to buy a rock hammer and saw a pan sitting there. At that moment I was hooked, the idea of pulling gold out of the ground with my own hands and work is something i will never tire of. I went to the Libby Creek Recreational Gold panning area and spent the next 2.5 weeks on and off working and meeting new people, everyone had something to teach and I loved every min...
