What sluice do you use? 109542 82
Started by matt@rtmdesigns.com
If you are like me you probably have more than a single sluice... I have Angus MacKirks, Bazooka's, Keene's, and a myriad of homebuilt. After all said and done for varying conditions it seems like I always fall back to the keene a52... don't know why but I do... I guess its my favorite. I like the A.M.'s but I don't like that water changes can easily cause it to blow out...
What's your favorite

Gold Well Sluice 2270 0
Started by jbhunter777@hotmail.com
News update concerning Gold Well Sluice. The Gold Well is be made again in all sizes. Bernie Makowski has found manufacturing and sales. I’m told the Gold Well Sluice is a fine piece of equipment in fine gold recovery. The Gold Well Sluice Facebook page seems to have quite a following especially in the AZ area. I’m hoping to get feed back on this gold mining Gold Well Vortex Drop Riffle Sluice.

folding sluice 77384 15
Started by urchin_53@yahoo.com
Are any of the folding sluice boxes any good I've heard of them folding on you when you don't want them to and that they can leak fine gold at the joints even if the overlap is the first section fitting into the next and so forth. Has anyone tried, or is currently using, one that can shed some light on the subject for me.

Flared sluice? 6357 2
Started by tekmahn@msn.com
To flare Or not to Flare That is the question… Utilizing a sluice box is among the easiest methods to prospect for gold. Discovering suitable water flow and speed for your situations is essential. What are advantages/disadvantages of the flared sluice design How does the flared sluice compared to (input flow) over/under (recovery) sluice An over-under riffle flow system is commonly accomplished in the same basic sluice box, which is constructed with a removable false bot...

Royal miller table and Deep V groove mat. 1714 0
Started by 33oneworld@gmail.com
I run a homemade double sluice with deep groove and shallow groove mats. I have found alot of dust and specks. Seems to be easier to pan and find gold the sluice is at 4 degrees with gentle water flow but clean outs not so good. I repanned some and still gold not being caught by the sluice. So i ordered the Royal table. Should i just bite the bullet and get gold hog mats Any thoughts or experience on water tables and mats Thank you Andy

Gold Hog Multi-Sluice 23240 4
Started by robert.j.gallagher@gmail.com
Hello all!
Well I got tired of using the blue bowl and ordered a Gold Hog MultiSluice. It arrived on Friday! I ran it pretty hard yesterday with some paydirt from Constellation Mining that arrived this week.
I am VERY pleased with the construction and results! But now, I just need more paydirt!

Leaking Recirculating Sluice Box 2793 5
Started by Petekottke@gmail.com
I want to add a header box to my A52 so I can recirculate. When I run the pump, the header box leaks. Any ideas on how to stop the leak I don’t want to make this permanent; I still want to use it as my stream sluice box. I would share pictures, but I don't know how to do that. Pete

We have concentrates. We just need someone who can extract the gold 2862 1
Started by david@ucvcfunding.com
My boss is part owner of a pretty famous gold mine and because of this we have about 50k tons of concentrate and hard rock ore left over from the exploration stage of his project. This particular ore is known to have high concentrations of gold, silver and other PGM's, but one of the issues we're having is that normal fire assays are not picking up all the gold. Much of the gold is being washed away. We need a master assayer that can extract hard to get gold through a chemical or atomic procedur...

Tee Dee Ez Sluice (Looking for pump recommendations) 2250 0
Started by matthew.n.edwards.2@gmail.com
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a pump that might be good for a recirculating system using a small TeeDee Ez Sluice. It measures approximately 7x2.5x24 and does have a flair. I figured that since it is a small sluice it may do well with a small pump which will allow me to either carry a smaller battery or run for longer periods of time on a larger battery.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Is Bazooka dead? Sluice suggestions? 69982 13
Started by greenhalgh.roy@gmail.com
I was wondering if anyone heard anything about the company that made the Bazooka gold trap sluices. I was just trying to see how much a bigger version would cost when I noticed their Facebook has not been used in about 2 years, their website has been down for 'maintenance' and there is nothing for sale on eBay. Kind of sucks since my wife designed a single slip on adapter to make it a power sluice. Needed a bigger one for flow testing. If they are gone could anyone suggest, in their opi...

Does it matter how you put the expanded screen back in the sluice The way it is expanded can create more of a riffle or less of one.

Home made Gold Cube 33841 9
Started by s.britch@lafilm.edu
I don't exactly have the $500 bucks to shell out on a new Gold Cube, but I realllllly want one. So I've started off on an adventure to build my own! My family owns a car shop, so I have access to all the tools I need. I drew up some plans today. Anyone ever built their own Or anything similar I'll upload pics when I start the build. Also, where is the best place to get some vortex mats like the cube has Thanks!

Picked up a Keene sluice over the weekend think it's the A52 the bigger one. And I'm going to make up a head to run it at home From what I've come across folks use a 2400gph 12v bilge pump. So y'all think that good or should I go smaller or bigger Any input would be great Thanks Kris

Bazooka trap sluices 27244 25
Started by ompomelet@gmail.com
Been watching sluicing and dredging videos on youtube.
The Rogue river videos are unbelievable... but my question is about Bazooka sluices. It seems they are more efficient time-wise than other sluices, altho' I've seen some excellent recovery in the Rogue River Videos using the Le Trap plastic sluice. I like the idea of not having to classify material using the bazookas. Everything is fast and simple with them and you get more gold recovery due to the fact you can run 10 times the materia...
