Pump & Battery Recommendation for Raptor Flare 2.0 Highbanker 7731 8
Started by PlantOperatorAaronSanchez@Outlook.com
I have never used a sluice before, but after I found out I don't have to classify and I could just shovel and pour; I was very interested in that time saving gold hogging concept! I have NO idea what pump to buy and what battery to power it. I was hoping y'all could give me a hand with advice! The sluice is the Raptor Flare 2.0 Highbanker any help will be MUCH appreciated!! The website says 'Runs on a cheap 2″ semi-trash pump (reduced down to 1.5)″ To my understanding; the more amps per ho...

Royal miller table and Deep V groove mat. 8008 7
Started by 33oneworld@gmail.com
I run a homemade double sluice with deep groove and shallow groove mats. I have found alot of dust and specks. Seems to be easier to pan and find gold the sluice is at 4 degrees with gentle water flow but clean outs not so good. I repanned some and still gold not being caught by the sluice. So i ordered the Royal table. Should i just bite the bullet and get gold hog mats Any thoughts or experience on water tables and mats Thank you Andy

How many gph of water do you need to catch flour gold with a 10' wide sluice with a vortex type mat. I've tried 5-7° with terrible results. I was told I need to run it between 11° -17° but that just seems way to steep for such microscopic gold to have time to drop out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Clean up sluice 3785 4
Started by bendersemail@yahoo.com
Just curious of what clean up sluice people prefer. Yes I understand & know everyone has there options, but would like to hear true justifications, love or hate. I currently have a Miller table, blue bowl and keene miracle mat sluice, but have since started eyeing a 4 tray gold cube with dream mat, micro/ mini & D mat. I’ve got more stream sluices than 1) man should own, (I.e. sluice with Talon Gold Hog, another with Yukon Gold Hog, sluice with Dream Mat, Keene A52, so on & so on). Any insight...

Best travel sluice 3503 3
Started by totalappliance@frontier.com
Hello everyone, I'm a new member with some panning experience but would like to speed up my concentrate making. I travel frequently around the US with my job, almost always on a plane. So I'm looking for a sluice that I can pack in my bag so I can be more productive with the time I have available. I plan on finish panning at home but would like to get a higher production.

Just wondering if anyone has tinkered with this customizable Tec yet. I do see a few entries on Thingiverse.com but nothing major. Some small sluice inserts and a blue Bowl type of thing.

California River Sluice 3616 2
Started by waugh1198@gmail.com
Just picked up one of these, and wondering on initial setup, as to water depth and how much drop on a 40' box. I realize that to some extent water depth is dependent on speed of flow, and how much drop to have material make the trip through. Going to give it a try next time I'm out.

Stream sluice? 5430 6
Started by y.jaron@gmail.com
Hi I’m new to running a stream sluice and was wondering if you need to worry about blowing out your box if you leave it in the water while you go for 15 mins or so to dig and classify more material. Or should I stockpile a lot of classified material ahead of time and run all at once then clean out. Does anyone have any advice Specifically I have a Keene A52. Thanks

Building a Sluice Stand 4106 1
Started by goldcrazy2@gmail.com
Has anybody seen a good Step-By-Step 'How-To' video or article on making a stand for Tom and Perry's Clean-Up Sluice The video that comes with the sluice doesn't show how they made the pvc stand and I'm not very good at working with pvc when it comes to allowing for the extra length for the joints when you put it together. The videos I've seen so far are either poorly made or don't explain what the are doing clearly enough, or the articles and drawings don't make sense. I could also use ...

What sluice do you use? 108063 82
Started by matt@rtmdesigns.com
If you are like me you probably have more than a single sluice... I have Angus MacKirks, Bazooka's, Keene's, and a myriad of homebuilt. After all said and done for varying conditions it seems like I always fall back to the keene a52... don't know why but I do... I guess its my favorite. I like the A.M.'s but I don't like that water changes can easily cause it to blow out...
What's your favorite
