I am interested in dredging in Oregon waters. Does anyone know of a current information source that will inform me as to what is allowed and help keep me out of jail/trouble I understand there have been changes in the law and most of the information I have found is dated or confusing. Thanks in advance for the help. John

Keene Dredges & Prospecting Equipment 3635 2
Started by Plasse1@gmail.com
Bought Prospecting Equipment as a Package Deal. The equipment has been garaged and maintained well. Message me for Pics if your interested. I paid $2500 for all. If your interested in some make me an offer. I am fair and want it to go to somebody that is going to go get their share of the shiny. It was only used for 1 season in Alaska by my buddies uncle. He passed away suddenly after his first year dredging and my buddy went and got it stored it and hung onto it until he told me come get everyt...

Father and Son NM Gold Prospecting 1379 3
Started by stevecapelli492@gmail.com
My son and I have the gold bug and have been prospecting since the weather has been good. We need some advice on the best places to prospect in NM and other states. We have an RV and UTV to be able to go wherever needed. We recently joined GPAA and am looking for some help and advice. If there are any claims that are available, we would be interested in looking at them. Thank you for any help. Steve and Ryan

Dredge Jet Log Sizing 2815 2
Started by c.butters74@gmail.com
I'm attempting to piece together a smaller 2.5-inch dredge with a power jet. I go to Keene's website, where they offer 2 separate jet log sizes for a 2.5-in. They have it with a 1.25-in jet log, as well as a 1.5-in. What is the difference in performance between these two otherwise identical parts I am using the Honda GX200 6.5hp motor with Keene p180 pump. I am aware this is well above the necessary power required in a perfect scenario. I'm more concerned about whether the larger jet log prov...

Power jet, supply size. 3817 1
Started by c.butters74@gmail.com
I've recently upgraded my highbanker to a much larger size, and with that bought a new Honda keen 180 pump. My port supplying water to the dredge is 2in. I'm wanting to dredge with this but I am not sure why there are 2 different size options for the 3in power jet. They offer it with a 1.5in supply port as well as a 2in port, but I'm not exactly sure why, or what difference in performance this change makes Any experienced information on this would be great.

Oregon timing of in water work rules 2349 0
Started by midvalleyprospectors@gmail.com
Follow the link to download a copy on the Oregon Guidelines for timing of in water work to protect fish and wildlife resources as of January 2022. A lot of the areas have shorter times for in water work. Here is a link that will get you to ODFW's web site for a printable list. www.dfw.state.or.us › Oregon In-water Work Guidelines January 2022. this may save you from harassment

Priming a Keene P185H pump 4488 4
Started by jim@northpinesgold.com
We have a Keene P185H pump with a Honda GX200 motor for our 3' dredge. The motor runs like a champ. Our question is what is the best and easiest way to prime this pump. We fill the intake hose to full capacity with a small electric pump but still it doesn't pump any water. We put the foot valve up stream to try and keep the intake hose full. The foot valve has a one way flapper in it to supposedly keep the water from draining when the pump is shut down and it seems to be working however we...

I'm wanting to clean out stock tanks or ponds using my dredge 3967 1
Started by tomhardee1963@yahoo.com
Hello everybody, I'd like some opinions on using my pumps and hoses from my dredge to clean out the sand and sediment from my father-in-laws stock tanks on his ranch. I have two of the p180 pumps and since the material I have to move is just sand and silt I was wondering if i might get better results if i use a combination of a power jet and a suction nozzle. I'd like to do this for him as he has to hire a guy to come in with an excavator every few years to clean out the sand and silt that washe...

Dredging in Indiana 5378 4

Are there any public areas where you can use a dredge and/or sluice box Looking for directions, crossroads, landmarks, etc. We are not from the area so we don't have any idea where to start. Also, anyone know anything about prospecting in the Brown County State Park We've panned in Morgan Monroe, but don't want to haul all of our equipment (pumps and sluice) if we can't find anywhere to use it. Thanks all!
