Kanaflex hoses 10243 2
Started by nodnorthewise@gmail.com
I am researching 3' suction hoses, and have found some good prices on Kanaflex hoses. I am looking for opinions about the quality and durability of these hoses from anyone who uses them.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Royal vs Keene dry washer 11448 4
Started by stoneman1051@aol.com
Hi all,
I'm new to this group.
I'm interested in purchasing a dry washer.
I've looked at several and have narrowed it down to the Keene 140s and the Royal of approximately the same size.
I know that everyone has their favorites, but I was hoping that the group could give me some honest incites on the pro's and con's of each.
thanks,
R. Stone

I have an older Garrett Treasure Ace 300 in great shape. Still works fine and body shows little wear. Would be a great one for beginners. I also have a Titan 9000 in new shape. It has never been in the field. Works great. I am asking $300 for both or I would trade for a panning machine in very good shape. I am also in need of the spiral bowl for a Gold Screw panning machine. Call or text 623-826-7629.

leaking dredge floats 5862 5
Started by nodnorthewise@gmail.com
Hello, I have a pair of the older 1pc. yellow floats from a 4' dredge platform that leak.
Someone in the past tried to patch them with fiberglass but they're still leaking. I have thought about trying to seal them with elastomeric paint or membrane paint as it is also known, the rubberized paint that is used on roof tops and camper/mobile home roofs. Has anyone ever tried this to repair floats
I am open to all suggestions for inexpensive ways to seal them and...

DIY Handheld Suction dredge Help 16266 4
Started by dsnewsom@gmail.com
I have been toying with a homemade hand dredge, simalr to ones you can buy at the gold shows for about $100. I've seen lots of videos on you tube about how to make them and I have a pretty good one built. My problem, however, is that I am not getting the suction I need. I have tried using foam cut from pipe insulation and have even made my own leather cup seals. The leather cup seals have worked the best but it still isnt giving me good enough suction to use in the field.
I have a...

Kickin Donkey/ Pro-Gold quality 12408 6
Started by s.sweat@hotmail.com
Not to be a stickler but I have seen first hand some very concerning quality control issues with Kickin Donkey
products. I was optimistic at first and wanted a cascade highbanker and black magic, but after seeing 2 of my friends purchases from kicking donkey/pro-gold I have changed my mind. I went in with one buddy 3 weeks ago and he dropped almost $400 on a large sluice package and also a black magic. The black magic demo they had in shop you could see the rubber matting peeling up, con...

Angus MacKirk sluice 8708 0

I just got an Angus MacKirk Outback sluice for Christmas and I can't Wait for spring so I can try it out. It Should prove successful. I wanted it because it is small enough to fit into a backpack but yet big enough to run a decent amount of material. When I had first seen an Angus MacKirk sluice a couple of years ago for the first time I had my doubts about them, but then I have seen several different models in action and I was nothing but impressed, I needed to get one. I like the ease of set u...

Backpack Classifier 8255 1
Started by whitedge@gmail.com
A 35 mesh nylon bag that fits inside a 5 gal bucket. Drop a shovel full of gravel in the green bag and use the handles like a rocker sluice to work the fine gold out into the water in the bucket. Set the bag aside and check with a metal detector for flakes. No signal then discard and repeat. Very effective, inexpensive, lightweight and super strong. Good for holding smaller item like snuffer bottles, etc. I have never tried as a 'dry' classifier so I do not know if it would work in the desert. A...
