Free mill gold or not free mill? 13880 4
Started by Smaservices1@gmail.com
On my uncles ranch down here in Kearny AZ he has a couple of old patented mines. (to which he's given me all access) all the old reports from azgs indicate .23 to .7 ozt however, there is nothing to indicate whether is was free mill or Sulfides or Telurides. there was a mill on site back in the day. closed down in 1943. so in general terms Is there any indicators in the geology of an area that might give clues as to the type of gold you might find I know its a broad question but I'm always look...

South Carolina RIvers and Dredging? 30441 9
Started by freddie.beckjr@yahoo.com
Just wondering who to contact regarding small 4 inch or less dredging in the main rivers of South Carolina and how to go about doing so legally. The main rivers I am wanting to know about are the Broad, Saluda, Little Saluda, And Tiger, ok and any other rivers for that matter. If the river travels thru private property on both sides, is it legal to prospecting in the river itself without permission (what some people call no mans land : 3 feet from the banks). Just wondering what are the regulati...

What's up with the PLP internal fight? 5946 4
Started by thechargerdude@aol.com
Kevin...What's up with the PLP Resignations...Hostile take over...Frozen bank account...FBI involved...Fraud accusations
And all at a critical time when the 1872 Mining Act is being trashed...Ca. court cases being rigged by environmental extremists...And your rights are being lost...
This is bad, get it fixed ASAP. We need to fight the un-American anti mining extremists...Not each other...WTF...Over.

My small blue Gold pan is famous because Kevin Hoagland borrowed it at the Pomona Gold show...After he returned it he poured Gold in the Gold panning stations for everyone...Right on Kevin.
I have an idea Kevin. Next time you're near Pomona, I'd like to see a Gold Trails episode filmed at the San Gabriel Mountains East Fork River. Specifically about 3 miles up river to an area called 'Swan Rock'. The Allison Mine above has always been a good Gold area.
With th...

Gold Trails 2 claim 6495 2

Hi Kevin, watched the Gold Trails Season 2, episode 8 video again recently posted on You Tube. This first was shown about six months ago on Gold Trails. It's in Plumas County near La Porte, CA. You planted a marker and indicated you were filing a claim to be called Gold Trails 2. I spend a lot of time prospecting in Plumas County and am excited to see another claim. I still have not seen anything in the Pick & Shovel and am wondering what the status is of this c...

Research 9125 12
Started by tpleibel@gmail.com
So I have gotten pretty good with the LR2000 website. But if are not local, how do you find books on the history of an area. Looking at a closed claim on google earth, does not really tell me it ever really produced gold. I find my self driving on the highway and seeing layers in the cuts and wonder if there was ever mining in that area. Would love to get some guidance on how to start research on an area.

Mini Keene 191 ?? 8228 3

Hello Kevin,
While in Quartzsite, the wife and I went to their little gold show (very small affair). Anyway , while looking through the offerings I noticed that one of the vendors ( Miners Depot, I believe) had a miniature Keene 190 series dry washer. Have you seen this and more importantly - any experience with it I have looked online to find what I could...no luck!
I did email Pat over at Keene as I had his email address. I had been in touch with him previously with a couple questions on th...

The BLM reports can be imported right into Google Earth...why can't we do the same thing Or have we and it's hidden away somewhere I didn't see
Hitting Youtube I found one guy who does it all manually...is ...

hello, prospector needs help. I am just few months short of getting a drywasher.. however I am hung up on the one to get that would suit my needs.. I have read great reviews on the keene 140s as well as the 191/161.. but I am more focused on the 140s and 161 for the light weight..or the compact fold up of the 140s.. I truly believe both designs have their uniqueness and upper and lower hand functions. I have asked the question to others and was told to' buy the machine, that ...

Kevin, can you provide me hints on how to best use my GMT Do you provide classes in the Phoenix area Some of my challenges are eliminating 'hot rocks' the other day there seemed to be more hot rocks interfering with my detecting. I tried pumping to detector, but it wouldn't discriminate them. Also, it seems that gold is NOT a 'zip, zip' on this detector, but rather a subtle tone change. I have adjusted the dials according to the manual. Also, not certain what the grab and display are doing for ...
