James--Jeremy said it will be a read only archive.
Admin- I noticed that the GPAA and LDMA areas can be accessed without logging in. Probably should be tied to registration and membership in each of those subgroups, ie., GPAA members have access to GPAA, LDMA have both. I know on our 4x4 forum there are a couple of pages that only show after your membership is verified and then those pages are turned on. You don't see them until you are logged in. As a browser or non-association member you don't see them even if logged in. With claim info and updates on these areas, IMO it needs some controls for members only access to those sections. |

I just logged in to confirm a mailing address for the Headquarters Offices. But I can't find anything on the GPAA Headquarters, and I can't find any information on GPAA membership or how to join. I think that I have tried all the tabs. Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Arthur: While the GPAA and LDMA Member sections are visible, if a visitor tries to drill down into the topic, they do not have access to it. Please let me know if you are seeing otherwise and we'll take another look at it. |

And every time you submit a post on a multi-page thread you go back to page 1 by default.... You should be returned to the page and position of your post. As a software developer and Admin of other forums this is the normal activity of a new post... just sayin...
Editing a posted thread has the same behavior... |

This site looks pretty, but I found it easier to navigate the old site. And I think we should have the option of having our username displayed.

James / Raymond, we decided GPAA's site will use REAL NAMES for several reasons. One of which is to try to improve the forum experience for many people. No more slinging hateful comments behind anonymity. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can do so by simply not posting. Their profile is not listed anywhere and no one can view any information they deem to be private.
In the long run, we hope this will help members become more connected to each other, meet new friends in their area and so on. We're always open to suggestions, so feel free to let us know your thoughts.

And there in lies the issue, not anonymity, but identity... Here everyone calls me James because that is my first name on my account with LDMA, well I DO NOT USE THIS NAME OTHER THAN LEGAL REASONS... I have always went by my middle name or nickname and really can't stand using my first name... So I have no choice here, which I do take slight issue with... Thanks!
P.S. I don't mind it on my profile but the forum should be a choice...
