    Greetings to All!

For the past three (3) days, I have been attempting to access the BLM LR 2000 Mining Claim Database without any success.

Here is the site address that I am using:  www.blm.gov/lr2000 which loads and eventually times out.

Does anyone have a link that works because I have been unsuccessful.

I have check my other links to various site and they work fine so is the BLM web site down?

Any help or advise would be GREATLY appreciated.

http://www.blm.gov/lr2000/ Just worked for me at 8:30 am Central time April 20th. Now that does not mean the site is not been going up and down i.e. for maintenance but You might want to check your compatability settings on your browser. Microsoft especially keeps loading updates to Internet explorer and that suddenly makes it hard to get a site open.

When using the lr2000 sometimes the browser you are using makes a difference. I see most consistent results with Firefox and explorer, have been told that chrome work well for some also. If you have a browser that is a adaption of one of these, form a service provider, you may have a problem. You may need to accept cookies and the lr2000 needs to use popups so allow popups for the blm web site. There is also a BLM tec that can help you if you continue to have problems. The link is on the lr2000 web site and is a help ticket. the link is http://www.blm.gov/landan...art&applicationCd=02

I had problems at first, them changed settings to allow pop-ups and scripting, now it works. I'm using Internet explorer. One thing that concerned me was when I did a search of some of the gpaa claims I found out they were closed. That is they no longer exist.

First I need to correct myself. All gpaa claims I checked did indeed exist. It was operator error. Lr2000 is wonderful. In the 70's/80's I had to do this the old way and it ate up a lot of time. I like being able to check and see who my neighbors are and if there is any open land around me. Takes minutes instead of days.

    Hi folks,

Old post but I wanted to add something.

BLM LR2000 is a great tool.  Just discovered it a month ago and I also discovered thediggings.com.  These two sites together produce some very good information.

I don't know who started thediggings.com but who ever you are THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  Looks like a lot of time, energy and research goes into that site.  Looking at CLAIM OWNERS in the area I'm interested in has shown me names of a few 'old timers' that I was very fortunate to meet and talk with before they passed on.  Again, I think I was born 100 years too late.  Would have really liked rubbing elbows with those folks.
