To all my fellow vets, both men and women, and those still carrying the colors....... THANK YOU for your service and sacrifices on a daily basis for many years.  You are the greatest people on earth.

And for those that gave all, be it known you are remembered in my heart and mind on a daily basis, not just one day a year.

Thank you and back at you, Veterans are the guardians of our nation and the people that care most for our nations future.

A few years ago I had a manager looking at hiring a new tech with six people to choose from come to me and ask for advice. 3 of them had criminal records, none of them had a college education, one was a listed sex offender, and most were just dead beats. I looked over the resumes and instantly noticed a veteran, just out of the military with two tours to Afghanistan, no criminal history, and had two separate jobs and left the Marines at rank of Corporal. I asked him why he is not considering the veteran, and what he told me made me absolutely sick, I guess he didn't know I was a Vet myself. He told me that he doesn't want to hire a Vet because he doesn't want to have to deal with their issues. Issues?

I next to ran that manager out of my office and I am sure my voice could have been heard for over a mile away, when Sergeant Crain comes out it is not pretty. He doesn't want to hire a Vet because they are much more qualified then himself to do the worthless F***ing job he was doing.

Vet's don't have issues, we work through them on our own, but a stigma has been built up about Vets that is incredibly false, you will not find a harder working person with a better work ethic anywhere then a work pool of Vets, and their are tens of thousands right now that need work and are having a hard time finding it, not because they have problems, but because they are more talented then the people hiring them.

Hire a VETERAN and see how good they are for yourself. It makes me sick that people will claim to honor our vets and yet not offer them a job.

It is a sad day when Veterans come home from war and cannot find a job, healthcare, or even respect. Most of the time it is nothing more then a free meal at a chain restaurant so they can claim they support veterans.

At least today the people coming back are not treated like the guys coming back in the late 60's.  It was pretty much wound down by the time I got back, so I didn't run into it, but some got all kinds of h*** for doing what they were sent to do.

It started to change with Desert Storm, and really changed after 9/11.  For that I appreciate what is happening for our people now, at least it is a start.

Agreed, maybe finally Americans are starting to realize what our Servicemen and Women do.

I wish some of my friends were alive today to at least be thanked for their service.
