    Hi Everyone!  I am a new member from Northern Wisconsin and I am looking for help with what are the regulations for gold panning in my state?  Any info any one can help me out with would be great, and I'll take any advice I can get as well.  Currently my father and I are avid metal detectorists and we thought we would give gold panning a try this summer...  We can also be found on youtube as  I video all of our metal detecting adventures...  Thanks for the help!

    Welcome.  Always a good thing to see a new member added.  Concerning the rules and regulations of your state, Forest service sites, state mine inspector or State sites may have what you need.  Not sure if any clubs up there, would be a good source.  Good luck and may your finds be great and the time you share with family and friends be even better.

    Hi Van, welcome to the GPAA Family!

    Jeff is right and you should check with your local Forest Service and BLM for rules and regulations. Looks like there are a few chapters in Wisconsin so you might definitely want to check with them as they should have up to date information as well as best places to go, practices, and even when you can go with them on an outing to learn with.
