My name is Keith , My wife and I joined the LDMA a few months back and we are signed up for the spring outing. We live in Spokane and would like to go down to Burnt river before the spring outing, we were wondering about what time of year things start to thaw out down there and when people start to show up to gold prospect,. We have really bad cabin/gold fever and are really wanting to get out and do some digging. Thanks for any info you can provide, thanks. Keith.

Welcome to the family - crazy uncles and all!  I hope you enjoy LDMA as much as my husband Dave and I do.  We look forward to seeing you at the spring outing.

If you want an answer as to when to visit the camp, I would suggest you contact the caretakers directly.  If you have a Facebook account, you can search for Jim-Pam Haney.  You can also search for Burnt River GPAA-LDMA 7 Day Outing.

Both of these are monitored by people who can help you better than I can.  We have made several trips there but I don't know what the current conditions are.
