I did get a response back from Kevin regarding the Blue Bucket.
The property will remain closed until such time that 'we' can secure a method of recovery that is not cost prohibitive and will offer a long term solution to the undermining that rendering it unsafe. Also the septic system needs to be addressed as it has failed.
Kevin has been in contact with a contractor and is suppose to meet with him at the Burnt River outing.
There may be an opportunity to open the property for "limited use" but that decision is pending the meeting with the contractor and reviewing the issues with the property.
Apparently Kevin didn't get notice of the forum post's and if you have further questions I recommend contacting him directly at khoagland@goldprospectors.org.

All,
Over the last few weeks myself and a newly formed team of dedicated LDMA Members named Team Endeavor spent a great deal of time working to reopen the Blue Bucket LDMA Camp.
With the work completed and the camp reopened in a limited capacity, I invite you to visit the Blue Bucket.
There are some areas that will remain closed for prospecting and mining but we have worked to open other areas and stabilize many of the areas that I consider unsafe. This does not mean that they will remain closed. I am in the planning stages of a phase II for additional mining areas with a goal date of spring of 2017.
There is plenty of gold in the areas that are opened at this time. Please take some time to enjoy the work that my incredibly dedicated team of members have done for the entire membership of the LDMA.

Bob, 31097 Valentine Lane, Huntington OR. 97907 for your GPS which may not be entirely accurate. I've seen a couple of GPS units take people about a 1/2 mile away. From Baker City head south on 84 toward Ontario/Boise to the Lookout Mountain Road exit 338. Exit right - left under highway head straight for a couple of hundred feet then stay right to enter the camp. Blue Bucket is directly off of Hwy 84 on the east side.

When I was there years ago before it closed there was a club house with rest rooms, and 12 RV sites with water/power and 12 sites with electric only, and a large area for boondocking or tenting. For current conditions and facilities available you should probably call the LDMA and check with them.

I am thinking of heading to BB around the first of October. Been several years since I was there last. Do the holding ponds have water in them to run a high banker or small trommel? Have the hillsides been stabilized to dig in the ancient stream beds up in the surrounding hills? Are the hookups, water and electric, up and running in the RV park? Do the camp hosts need any help in bringing anything more up to speed in the camp or digging areas? I was thinking staying close to 7 days. Can I bring a guest too?
