I have a Tesoro Tiger Shark detector that I have had for years, I used it mostly in the beach areas because at the time they were close by. Can anyone tell me if this detector will work well for nugget hunting or should I look at another type? Thanks, Bob

    Bob,
I like the Tiger Shark and always will but it is not a detector I go to for nugget hunting. I've had a bit of issue with it in high iron soils where most of my gold is found. I would like to suggest that you look into a Lobo or even a Vaquero for nugget shooting. The Lobo is a completely auto GB detector that I have found a lot of gold with over the years and the Vaquero is a good solid manual detector that I have used many times for prospecting and have found some gold.
Do not ever give up your Sand Shark. It is a solid detector with a lot of great features for beach and water hunting and will worth hanging onto.
    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Kevin
