    Hi All,

I'm a new LDMA member.   (50th Birthday gift to myself) yay!

Anyhow, what chapters are up my way in Virginia that I could join?

    Best Regards,

    Ed

Ed, you can go to this link and see the map of the U.S. and you can click on the states to send you to the state site that lists the chapters in that state. Here is the link http://www.goldprospectors.org/Chapters . It looks like Virginia has one chapter.

    Good Luck

    Welcome Ed!
I am a member of a chapter in Central Maryland that sometimes has events around the DC and Northern VA area. I also get down to Central VA whenever I can. As a club, we also take trips down to Vein Mt. and Loud Mine together. This year there are about 10 of us headed to the Loud Mine Dig in September. Check out our website at www.mdgoldprospecting.com.
Hope to see you at the creek!

Cool. I'll check it out. Actually I think I've been there a few times ..

I'll be going to Vein Mountain next month for Fathers day weekend + a few more days.

I'm also already registered for Loud Mine outing in September.

I've called the VA chapter, and awaiting a call back from the president. I did talk to the secretary (wife) and had a good talk, and she filled me in on some of the info goings-ons. I think I'm in good hands here in the mid-Atlantic. I may see about attending a MD event sometime.

I'm actually located in Sumerduck (next to Goldvein), right in the heart of VA gold motherload. I'm just a few miles from Monroe Park, Gold Mining Museum. The local club meets there first Saturday of each month April-October at 10am. They also have a local leased claim just a couple miles away.

Hello Scott. I just joined GPAA this morning, and, as a Marylander, I’d like to join a local chapter. Can you let me know how to contact the Central Chapter? I look forward to it.

    Welcome to the family Robert!
Like Bill said, you can use the "community" tab at the top of the page, under "chapter map" you can click on Maryland and then again on "FREDERICK CHAPTER" and it will take you to our chapter home page here. Here you can find meeting location and times. You can also use the "chapter announcements" link to get information on upcoming events. We also have a website link there to our external website which tells a little more about the chapter.
I look forward to meeting you at the next meeting or the Gem Show in two weeks!
    Scott
