At one of our recent meeting we had a new individual show up that let us just say was dressed a bit funny. At the beginning of our meeting we like for guest and visitors to introduce themselves and give them a chance to talk, so when it came to this man taking his turn I thought for sure somebody was pulling a prank, but no, this guy was serious.

The man talked for over 20 minutes about his need for investors because he has discovered how to take crushed beer bottles, throw them into a microwave, and transform them into gold. He told us he had run out of investors, burnt up many microwaves, and needed money to continue to burn up more microwaves.

He flat out told us that he one time created a gold BB right after he poured the glass, but then poof, it disappeared, but he knows he is onto something big.

If you have a few minutes you need to watch the video made by the Blue Eagle Alchemy Project, I think these Canadians may have had one too many of their own beers and too much cold weather. Some of the other videos that follow are even more off the wall. For some reason the alchemist always want to throw the periodic table up for an example, but if you ask any of them about the trilinear radionuclide periodic table they go blank, they have no clue what it takes to change one atom to another, which can be done with a cyclotron or reactor, but it takes more energy then it is worth and creates massive amounts of ionizing radiation that requires literally tons of shielding.

    For your watching pleasure

This is just a great reminder to reinforce the facts that there are some people out there that are pretty far out there. Put a suit and a tie on them, and put in front of the right combination of other people, and they can walk away with some great money. There is one law of physics that still has not yet been broken, and it has something to do with the impossibility of creating more energy without the consumption of a equal or greater amount of energy. But the funny thing is, I can still respect the person for at least trying.

I tried to make a rocket motor out of baking soda and gasoline when I was 6yrs old, I was putting the front yard fire out as my mother came home and beat my ass with the hose the entire way into the house.

Some things you just shouldn't try.

Me thinks most of the consumption, energy or otherwise, is the contents of said bottles, and he is trying to dispose of the evidence.

Wow. I thought for a minute that I had found a way to convince my wife that my beer drinking was going to make us rich. Guess not.
