    Does anyone have any info regarding on how to acquire a mining permit to mind at the Golden Eagle on Merced River in Mariposa County, CA. I called the Mariposa Ranger District listed in the GPAA mining guide and they told me to call BLM Motherlode Office but could not get a straight answer as to how to acquire a permit. Much appreciated for future info, thank you.

        Welcome Thao,

     

        I could be wrong but, I think you just have to notify them that you'll be on the GPAA claim or whatever for however long you're there. I think it's 14 days max. I'm pretty sure your two GPAA cards 'are' your permit for a GPAA area.
