So is there any where or way to get ahold of claim boundaries in areas where one would want to stake a claim. ?
I've checked out the blm 2000 thing and can find the claims in the section and the corners of that section.

So from there how does one know where the claims are so they don't stake on top or over lap another.
Lots of places I've been I haven't seen or been able to find claim markers.

    Thanks

    Kris,
It can be tricky and there are a lot of folks that have not placed markers in the right spot even with the best of intentions to do so, it happens. I work off of the county records as well and in many cases, I will take the claim information adjacent to where I am considering and call the claim holder to ask where they set their markers.
This leads to better relationships with others in the same area and I have found a few claims that were paper filed only and the claims were basically null and void.

Ok good point of trying to get ahold of the other claim holders.
So the county has copies of the claim maps to look at ? Or make copies to take ?

And what dou you mean paper filed only ?
