    Anybody been to the claims up near Pierce Idaho, thinking about planning a trip for this summer. Was interested in the claims in clearwater county.

    Morn'n Monte,

    I'm going to the Idaho Special 2 ( page 118 in 2014 mining guide ) this summer. No time frame

    yet.  Went there last summer but didn't really do any prospecting.  Just looking around the area and riding

    trails/roads on atv's. Looks promising though. 

    The Lolo Creek Campground at the intersection of Lolo Creek Rd. and NF-500 is clean

    and well taken care. Vaulted toilets if ya need them. Dry camping.

     I am going to put in for a dredging permit on the nahkohe morning star/owanchaya claims on page 115. The creek there has a dredging season.

    Have to look into that dredging permit/season.  I've driven  up thru there looking at those claims.  Seen sign of previous dredging.

    I have a 2.5" dredge/highbanker combo I'd like to try along in there.  The creek has some nice bends below the intersection of 250 and Shanghai Rd..

    I'll be in a gray Dodge with a Creek Side travel trailer.

    Thinking about a day trip next weekend. Looks pretty easy to find. I'm wondering if its too early in the year with all the water we've had. Your guy's thoughts?

    Can't go in through Weippe. Road closed except for snowmobiles. I think you could get to the Idaho Special 2 from Kamiah.
