I was wondering if anyone heard anything about the company that made the Bazooka gold trap sluices. I was just trying to see how much a bigger version would cost when I noticed their Facebook has not been used in about 2 years, their website has been down for "maintenance" and there is nothing for sale on eBay. Kind of sucks since my wife designed a single slip on adapter to make it a power sluice. Needed a bigger one for flow testing.

If they are gone could anyone suggest, in their opinion, the best sluice to look for?

I think I am going to buy a Grizzly Sluice Gold Trap Sluice, My bazooka was stolen a couple of years ago and I have been using my Angus Mackirk sluice which I like alot.

I wish I could get out and use my sluice box, But I have Shingles and they are contagious till they scab over, plus they also hurt like a burn on your skin.

Lloyd, have you tried Zinc supplements for shingles?
I've had really good luck keeping cold sores at bay with it. You can get it over the counter.
Careful tho' as some people are sensitive to it.
There are also Zinc ointments you can try topically.
I've read some people can cut healng time of Shingles outbreaks in half with it.
You have my empathy on the pain those things cause.

    Good luck!

Roy - I have a sniper medium Bazooka and would be interested in your wife's design for a power sluice adapter. Can you provide some details?

Hi, if you go to bedrockorbust.blogspot.com and click on 2016 archives you will find a detailed pamphlet for converting your bazooka into a power sluice you can use at home. Bob did a good job in describing how to do it and a parts list also.

Thank You....I already have a bedrock bob in progress. I thought maybe your wife's was different. The Bazooka works well if you have a good water flow. In Texas and Oklahoma we normally do not have good water flow so using it as a high banker is my preferred method. Unless you are prospecting in the California mountains save your money and buy a Gold Cube!

I just watched the video on the Grizzly. At the end, they guy shows what the sluice caught in a pan. It looks like the stuff I classify into a 5 gal bucket. What am I missing? Is this sluice intended to make classifying faster? Help me understand... Thanks.

When using the Grizzly you don't need to classify. Just shovel directly onto the sluice. The fluid bed chamber creates a low pressure area, where gold will drop to the bottom. Everyone I know, including myself has been happy with their Bazooka, and even happier with the Grizzly gold trap.

I was at the Tucson gold show and there was a booth with the Swedish bazooka. It had removable grizzly and the gold trap had a clear removable plexiglass top so you could see the action in the box. Pretty cool looking. Google Swedish Bazooka and you should find their site.their website is www.paydirt.se. That’s right .se that stands for Sweden!
