Hi guy, my name is Trace. I just saw your post and I too moved to Rifle last summer. I'm pretty new to this gold thing, but I'm hitting it hard in the toy purchasing side . Just not in the finding gold side of things,lol. I've tried rifle creek, east fork elk creek below the grey eagle mine, even the Colorado at the rest area. And I can once in a while find a speck of flour gold at all these. But I'm actually looking for somewhere to stake a claim to work next year. I just don't know where. So I'm wondering if you have any insights around here. I'm a stay at home dad, so if you ever want to go out and teach me a few tricks I would be more than happy to go and be your student for a day. I am planning a trip to Colorado the first week in August. Would like to possibly find decent gold without power equipment or possibly work with someone that has equipment. I will be traveling with my elderly Dad and two boys.
