I am excited to announce the GPAA is on the verge of releasing our Gold & Treasure Show schedule for 2015! We have 9 locations selected and are in the process of finalizing dates and contracts. We will be working with our local chapters and our valued partners to offer:
- Free panning demonstrations
- Our in depth lecture series expanding upon the curriculum covered in the new GPAA Claims Club Mining Guide
- Product demonstrations on the latest prospecting equipment featured by our Mining Manufacturers
- Major prize raffle including Alaska Trips, Medal Detectors, Fine Gold Recovery units, and small to mid sized Mining Equipment (over $10k in prizes distributed at each show!!!)
Stay tuned to the web, the forum, and the publications for location information. Make sure to register for the event and receive updates on attending vendors, Hotel and RV Park group codes, and special offers! See you all out there.

All,
The remainder of 2014 Gold Shows are GPAA Local Chapter Shows that are co-sponsored with GPAA that will be posted soon . . .
August 23-24 Sonora, California
September 6-7 Abilene, Texas
October 11-12 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
We know that many GPAA Local Chapters have shows/festivals/events so please post them on your Chapter profile here on the site so we can promote as well. If you need help, please call 800-551-9707 and ask for the chapters department.

Hi Brandon;
Is PLP going to be invited to any of these shows since they were excluded from the shows this year.
Thanks,
Terry Moore

Terry,
PLP is always welcome at the shows. As a vendor they have always had an option of getting a booth. In the past we have even given them a complementary booth to sell memberships and raffle tickets.
Thanks,
Brandon

I spoke with Gene Glenn yesterday (7/23/2104) about the Gold & Treasure shows for 2015. He indicated the "eastern shows" would be in Charlotte, NC and Knoxville, TN. Your listing shows Atlanta, GA in place of Knoxville. Has there been a change?

Who else would like to see a Gold and Treasure Show in the North East? It has been a couple of years now since we had one in this area of the country, the last one was in Maine. I would like to see one in Albany NY, or Hartford Connecticut.

As a chapter member and administer, I would personally love to see a gold Expo in New England! As a State Director, I have been trying to get together with other New England State Directors to try to work together and come up with a plan to try and put something together where ALL New England Chapters get to benefit from the Expo, possibly by alternating its locate from year to year, so that it is held in a different state each year. Whereas, the chapter(s), from each state would host it for that year, and another states chapters the following year, etc. etc. We could name it " The Great New England Gold & Treasure Expo"! By holding it in different locations throughout New England, it would help to get the word out about our chapters and also help the chapters to grow and become more involved with their local communities. As well as educate the public about what we do, and teach the upcoming generation(s) the importance of prospecting as well as metal detecting, and how we also help to clean up our environment, while still going out and having fun. If there are any State Directors, from the New England area, that would be interested in helping to organize such a show, please contact me at your convenience and let's see what we can do! Oh, GPAA Headquarters, you are also welcome to join in on this as well, as we could surely use your expertise and guidance in helping us to make our dream come true! You can all find my contact info listed in the GPAA magazines, and the Pick & shovel.

Whenever the dates are posted for the eastern shows I think my husband and I will be heading that way (GA,NC) for some prospecting for our honeymoon that would be a great additive to our trip!!

Sheila - If you want to experience more than a show, we have GPAA/LDMA Outings at Vein Mountain, NC and Loud Mine, GA going on also at that time - check out the website for the dates as well. We had Honeymooners at the I-Bar Outing last week. They were only married two weeks prior and the had a blast at the outing. I will have to check but I believe according to the Miners creed of 1849, once you step foot on a LDMA camp property to prospect, you might have to go through another official marriage ceremony. HA HA!

Really that sounds perfect. I could defiantly have two ceremonies nothing permit till done while prospecting. #GOLDFEVER.. I love being apart of this community. Chris and I are planning in the works of moving our lives out west on the road with a camper. To maybe purchase a cheap claim with promise and live off the grid. We have been working on getting our equipment and practice up to par. I am wondering where I should post my inquiries for a Cheap camper for sale, and claims for purchase and what you need to do so. We where thinking about going to Dahlonega, GA for prospecting do you know any good things about that area. Happy Hunting Friends
