I have two questions about the corn house creek claim in Alabama. 1. Why is dredging not permitted as dredging is legal in Alabama?

    2. I have a 4 x 4 truck and want to pull an 18ft bumper pull camper trailer with a generator to the claim with me and spend 3 or 4 days doing some hard prospecting to try this site out? Is this property accessible with the camper trailer? As long as I can get into the place, I can back the camper in the bushes to park it as long as there is room to turn it around to get it out.

    3. I have a 3inch dredge, high banker, several size sluice boxes, and pans. I prefer to use the dredge because I am a disabled Marine Corp Veteran with a badly injured back, shoulders and knees, and using the dredge enables me to prospect without any major pain since I don't have to do any digging other than removing large rocks and debris! The claims guide sort of contradicts itself because it says all prospecting tools are usable then on the regulations page it says dredging is not permitted as of August 2018. That is one reason I joined GPAA instead of Georgia gold miners! I wanted a place in Alabama not far from me to dredge!

corn house creek is owned by the same person who owns alabama gold camp, he lets gold camp members who pay 1000/ year to dredge! they don't allow gpaa members to dredge since they can't charge you 75 to 100 to dredge like they can at the camp.

Don this is Jeff from the camp. I just saw this post and was a little concerned because the fact that both properties have the same owner is the only statement that is true. The camp has been open for 15 years. We have charged 25.00 per day for a 4" dredge the entire time. We have had membership packages since we opened that include camping and prospecting for a year. When Cornhouse was purchased members were given access to the property. When the president of our local GPAA club inquired about GPAA leasing the property I included the members in the contract. I did not write the contract or put any stipulation on dredging.
