Okay, So I'm New to GPAA as my own member.  I'm 19 and have been prospecting for a long time with my grandfather. Since I'm now my own member I think its time to show what i can do!  I'm going to Alaska for 4 day ( 2 days really after travel), I love crevicing! Ill be in Anchorage and don't wanna drive more then 2 hours to get to where i want to prospect. I was looking in the book of claims and saw the ken and brian claim, i was wondering if anyone has been there and what kinda gold/ exposed bedrock is there. if not much exposed bedrock wheres a good place i can find some? Thanks guys!

Well Kadin, I cant answer any questions about Alaska mining but I can say I hope you have fun. Congrats on your own membership. That is a very cool thing that you have been able to work with your grandfather. Maybe look up online about prospecting in AK under the AK forrest service. I bet the rules will be posted. Enjoy the forum and again have fun on your trip

    Hi Kadin

Talk to the people at the local chapter, joining them if they are going out or if one on them is looking for someone to buddy with would give you an insite from persons that have worked in the area you are going to. Anchorage Chapter information:

Don't go into Bear Country without knowledge of their habitat.

When are you coming up. If you already made the trip, how'd it go?
