I’m new to GPAA and was wondering what I need to bring with me when I visit a Claim besides my prospecting equipment?

    Welcome Jaron,

That all depends on your expectations and comfort levels
    What are plans/ideas ?
Are you out for a couple hours, day, days ?
What type of environment, hot, cold, wet, dry ?
    At the VERY minimum, beer.
    More questions than answers
Using the online mining guide, figure out where to go
What type of mining to do, for how long, using what type of equipment will dictate what you may want to bring along

Get out there and find the fever.

Thank you. Well just for the day and I’ve been prospecting for about a year now non gpaa. I already have a claim in mind and it’s an hour from the house and plan on taking crevicing tools and checking the higher bedrock for any jammed crevices and moss to pan. Mostly just prospecting the claim unless I find something worthwhile. But I was also curious about what credentials you need on your person when on site. From what I understand I need my member card and prospecting card. Is there anything else I need?

    Sounds like a solid plan
You learn something each time out, start slow
GPAA requires you to have both cards and I believe the printed mining guide ( not totally sure about the MG )
Although, I have never been asked for either

    Get out and enjoy yourself

Supposed to have the guide, but can leave in the rig. (at least I do). I do ask if someone is a member when I run across them on a GPAA claim, so the card is a good idea to show you are.

Good luck, let us know what you find and be sure to post it up in the online guide.
