I went there last year late summer. Water level was pretty low and could not run a sluice, but my guess is this time of year there should be decent enough flow. I pulled out about 2 pounds of lead over two full days of digging and panning, and about 10 small flakes in the pan. Fair signs of others digging and leaving holes there, etc., but other than a number of campers, hikers, and some people getting stoned, I did not see any other prospectors either day. Scenery was beautiful, though, but my own results were not that decent outside of the beautiful countryside. Also, this year the rattled population is booming, and that area is infamous for those critters, so please wear gators if hiking and keep an eye open.
