Two year old post, but the following is current information. Dredge seasons will vary depending on where you are. An interactive map can be found on DEQ's website. No dredging in essential salmon habitat, or 303d listed waters, shown in red on their map. Dredge seasons on other waters can be found on the Division of State Lands site. Dredge permits from DEQ are$250 application fee, and, IIRC, $250 a year. (700PM) Panning and sluicing are legal in all waters year around, unless prohibited. No permit required for panning, supposed to have the 700PM on hand for sluicing, (just print it out), shows you are familiar with requirements. Have yet to be checked or asked for it. Highbanking is allowed as long as you are off water and no sediment gets back into the stream. Requires the 600 permit, which is in revision (for the past few years), and not being issued at this time. Existing 600's are still valid and transferable.
