    Good afternoon All,

I've read that some states have done scientific studies on the affects of dredging. I dont remember where I saw the study.

Can someone point me in the direction where I can re-read those studies by States that show dredging does not have negative affects to river ecosystems.

Thank you in advance for showing me some potential studies....

    Thank you.

When they were in the process of limiting dredging here in Oregon, at least 5 different studies weere sumbitted, one from CA, one from USFS (done in southern OR) and others. All showed "less than signifigent impact" .....Gov.-speak for no harm what-so-ever.

Might try googling gold dredging studies, or contact some of the mining organizations, ie. MMAC, AMRA, ICMJ, etc.

Don't get down south.... Go to Oregon DEQ site, 700PM permit and pull up the interactive map. If it's red, then no dredging. Off the top of my head, I think the Rogue is closed.

If you don't have the 700PM, be prepared for sticker shock.
