BE VERY CAUTIOUS AND WEARY OF ALL
Here is the important part
know what you have, raw gold is not pure, will have other metals in the mix
test your gold for purity yourself, know its karat and that will start to set a value, test kits are available
dont let someone else test it and say "oh its only 14K" not worth much
the real karat value will vary depending on where it came from
Try and get two quotes from different buyers on what they will give you for what you have, if they wont move on
dont count on getting spot price, if your lucky 60% spot unless your bringing a truck load
pickers and nuggets should bring a higher value depending on many factors, if not move on
Know the value of what you have to know if your getting a fair deal before going anywhere
people give their stuff away because they dont know what they have
