If you are planning on getting into detecting and staying, go with the Equinox 800. I think you will be a lot happier in the long run. The 800 is simple out of the box and is something that you can grow into using all of the features. I like the Go-Find line but not for getting out serious detecting, afraid you'll grow out of it fairly quickly. .
