Hi everyone. My second year in GPAA and wish to MD the Lucky Linda Again claim and need suggestions on where to dry camp. I have a 4x4 with an 18 foot trailer but not great tires to the 4x4 ingress. Any suggestions close by or on the claim itself? thanks for your comments. I plan on being on the claim Monday through Wednesday this week 3/16-3/18/20

You can find directions to the claim in the online mining guide. Following those directions If you go to the north ingress near the 'chicken house' there are many places to dry camp in the area along that access road. That road is referred to as the ridge road and goes through part of the west side of LLA which is high ground. There are also several camp sites along Angel Ranch road on the way to the south ingress of LLA. However, these roads are very tough on tires so keep that in mind. One thing to consider is GPAA members can get a 3 day pass at the LDMA Stanton camp and you could stay there with your trailer and drive into the claim from Stanton. Its about 5 miles to LLA from Stanton. The road to Stanton is 6.5 miles from SR 89 and can be rough at times.
We have also be hearing good metal detecting reports from the Vulture Bait claim (pg 61 of Mining Guide) north of the Morristown area in the n Maricopa Group.
Good Luck! And welcome to Arizona!
