I am completely new to prospecting. As a matter of fact I have never been at all. I have joined this community to gain information to help me plan a trip to Idaho later this year. I guess my biggest questions are:

1.) Are there prospectors out in Northern Idaho that take on Greenhorns for prospecting trips aside from the group trips that I see on the site?
2.) If so what are the costs involved to the guide
3.) Are there places to rent equipment out there since I live in NY and cant prospect for any minerals I have yet to purchase anything.
