So I put together a 2” highbanker/ dredge combo using all Keene products. Keene A52 sluice box, hopper, dredge riffles, stand, Honda GXH50 motor with p90 pump on it. I am mainly going to use it as a dredge. My question is how much drop do I put on the box and how much flow should I have going through the box for the best recovery of gold? I’d post a video of the set up running but I don’t see that option available here.

    Christian,

Drop will be based on flow
Flow will be based on making the dredge work proper
Figure out the dredge portion will determine the slope of the box
I would also expect things to change when highbanking
Always adjusting, speed, angle, depth, always changing, watching
You want to see the material dancing behind the riffles, but not blow them out
The slower the water the better the chance but its a balance, gotta move the material gotta move through the hose
Dont wanna blow out the box either
    No black and white answer
