Howdy, My name is "Rally", Membership # 255695. I joined LDMA Feb. 07, 2007 and at the time made a lot of plans with my Beautiful Wife of 51 Years Jane. We at first and for the first eight years had both our names together on our Membership I.D. Cards but that was changed to ONLY one name (Mine). I didn't have any idea my legs would stop working and the bullet damage to my lower spine would put me in a wheelchair. My wife and I had only used our membership three times out at Duisenberg. Okay, Let's Fast forward to Present day 2020. I call the LDMA office and inform them that I'm No longer paying $10. a month Maintenance dues for Properties I can Not use, Why Should I ? I have paid this for the last TEN YEARS. That is $120.00 a YEAR times TEN YEARS has been $1,200.00 for the GOLD PROSPECTOR MAGAZINE every two months. I'm told by the LDMA desk Secretary that if I "DON'T pay my Maintenance Dues, I will be placed on the INACTIVE list and no longer receive any Copies of our club magazine ! WTF !!! Excuse ME, what did I pay $4,000.00 for ? She tell's me I "Should Read my Contract I signed thirteen years ago. That Magazine is my ONLY tie to the LDMA so I will just pay $19.00 a year Subscription Rate for the Magazine instead of $120.00 a year. But she tell's me "NO", I'm NOT allowed to do that. I ask her to please have Dominic Recce give me a Call and I hang up. It's been four months and I'm Still Waiting. A year ago I was informed that I could NOT sell my Membership. Now I'm Told that if I sell my Membership, I lose my Lifetime GPAA membership. Totally different from how pleasant they were when I signed UP.

In 1969 at the age of 18, I was a powder-man. I would drill, plant and set off 480 sticks of dynamite ( a bazooka load ) five miles inside of a mountain, and this Club classifies me as a "Greenhorn". Even though I'm not happy, I still Love the LDMA and the GPAA. Best of Luck everybody, Rally.

Send me your address and I'll send you my copy unread and I'm opened. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with LDMA. I have heard a few bad things about them from several people since I joined the GPAA. I'm sorry to hear another story.

I think if the Masses where still the owners none of this would be hipping with all of trouble people are having.

If any knows how to get hold of Tom and Perry and let them know how the clubs have been run down they my have a wat to fix it.
