Hello Tim, Like Tim said you have to be a member to visit any LDMA camp. You can attend for 3 days as a guest of an LDMA member, but you can only pan or help the member run their equipment. You cannot bring your own equipment except pans if you are a guest. One way to attend if you're not a member is go to one of the community digs, they are open to GPAA members, I think it's $100 for 3 days, and $150 for all 5 days, even LDMA members have to pay for the common digs. Equipment is provided by the LDMA and everyone that works gets a share of the gold. They have them in the spring and the fall, the one in GA is in Sept, and the one in NC is in Nov., then they will have them again in the spring. They don't have one at the SC camp as it is a primitive camp and has no facilities. It is not that expensive to upgrade to an LDMA membership, the fees and dues are really affordable, and they credit any time you have left on your GPAA membership towards the LDMA, and you become a lifetime GPAA member, and they were giving a free community dig for upgrading, I think they still do. You can camp for up to 6 months at some camps, 3 mos at others. I thought it was a great deal, that's why I upgraded. Paul
