The Gold and Treasure Show Feb. 7-8 flyer I received notes veterans have a free ticket to the show. What evidence is required by an individual to show veterans status?

    Hi Chuck,

Anything you have that shows you are either active or are a veteran should be good.

    Thank you for your service!

That is a great gesture on the part of either the GPAA or the show hosts.  If you are enrolled in VA healthcare, then you will have a picture ID card for that. That should do, it has for me when different businesses have offered something for vets. As a sidebar, VA healthcare also meets the requirements of Obamacare.

I don't know if the pre-registration free entry pass is still going on or not, but if so it should be on the show page.  You just don't get the vial if you are in the first batch in the door.

    As Paul noted, THANK YOU

**EDIT**---Just got an email for the Portland show--If I decide to go, (we might have a booth for the chapter, but that is iffy right now) I would have to get in with the vet thing too (it is also listed for there) as I couldn't afford to drive up there and pay the other associated fees and charges besides the show entry tariff of $10.00 to get in.   Did not see anything of the free pre-registration but there is a half off for pre-registration at the Portland show.

Thank you Arthur. That was a great idea by one of our chapter presidents. We are looking forward to welcoming and supporting our active military and vets. As you and Paul stated, military ID, VA card...pretty much any picture identification is great proof and will allow entry.

On your other note, that indeed will be the case at the Portland show as well. All shows this year will allow active military and vets free entry

If you have any questions about vending in Portland please feel free to reach out to me at 800-551-9707 x168. Spots are filling up fast, so don't hesitate!

    Thanks

There maybe a good number of Vet's without some form of ID card's, will a DD214 discharge papers do?

    Hello Chuck,

Discharge papers should be good as well. Anything really that says you were once in service should be ok.

Hope to see you at the show!

    All the best,
    Paul

    Gene-  Thanks for the clarification.

I know our chapter president is in contact with the state director up there and the chapter hosting.  We have a meeting on the 1st of Feb, so won't step on his toes, but will pass on your contact info to him.  We just have to have enough people to commit to run a booth, and it is 90 miles away one way, and a small chapter of really active folks.
