I have been working in the rock crushing industry for some time now, and find myself always looking at a lot of rocks. Every time we set up in a new location i can't help myself but to take a sample pan from the fines that come off the plant. Most of the time i come up with an empty pan since gold is not very abundant in my area, but it never stops me from looking. My company purchased a used crusher plant from out of state, and brought it to the shop where i had the task of cleaning and repairing it during the winter. So as usual i figured ill take a test pan of dirt out of it, and who would have guest it had nice fine gold. I mentioned to my boss who is also the owner that id like to have what ever dirt i could take off the plant to play with at home. To him crushed rock is more valuable then gold. I ended up taking two 55 gallon barrels of the dirt and ran it threw a make shift sluice and my gold wheel. I ended up with a good amount of fine gold and some nice pieces of quarts and pyrite.
so it just go sot show you as long as your looking you might find some gold .
