Welcome to GPAA Gene! One of the best things you can do is get connected with one or more of our GPAA Local Chapters. They are there to help get you started in finding gold. They are listed here online, in the Pick & Shovel Gazette and the Gold Prospector magazine. Ohio has three active chapters: Bellville, Harrison and Lucasville. Plus anywhere you may travel, we more than likly have a chapter near by. Spend time on this website watching videos and asking questions.

WHat brought you and your son to join and want to play in the dirt?

 

 

My son had been watching Gold Rush for a couple of seasons and started buying some pans, classifier, miller table, sluice box and so on. Oh, and pay dirt. I watched what he was doing and became interested as well. A great was to incorporate fun and family time together. Thanks for the reply, info and warm welcome Dominic!

Hello! I just joined and also live in Ohio (Central). Looking forward to getting involved more locally. My husband and I have five children (two of them boys) and we are just getting started. First our interest peaked with metal detecting and finding gemstones (flint seems to be the only thing we find in central ohio). We are now learning about Ohio Gold...which I never thought existed so we shall see. Welcome!
