Can I use my 2" trash pump on a gold cube trommel if I was to idle it down to adjust the water flow?

You probably could. Going to have to reduce from 2" to whatever the diameter of the trommel inlet is, and put a gate valve on it to fine tune.
I'd drop Mike an email and get his take on what you need to do.

Yes you can if you gate down the flow. I run mine with a 1 1/2 inch trash pump.
