I gave you the answer in your other post in other types of prospecting. I am the outings and claims director for our chapter in Oregon, and as such have a working knowledge of rules and regulations for placer mining in the state. By your asking the same question on another page, after it was answered originally, that tells me one of three things.....you haven't read the answer, you don't like it, or you don't believe it. If that's the case, I can only echo Kevin's reply to ask the agency responsible, or as another alternative, go ahead and set up your equipment in a very visible spot and await the ticket. Please post up what the fine was, so everyone else can avoid the same outcome.

Clint, Unfortunately, Art recently passed away. Art was a great Prospector and Miner and will be missed by all of us that called him our friend and prospecting partner. If you are in Oregon, please contact the Brownsville or Portland GPAA Chapters.
