Hi everyone, Total rookie question…. I just purchased a new pump (Honda GXH50 with Proline HP100 pump). No manual on the pump though. Question is: the hose fitting near the discharge outlet, is this only a priming port or is it duel usage to hook up an actual hose? Thank you, Jase

Hey James, go to UTube and watch “Highbanker Dredge Combo - Converting the Raptor Flare”...Doc’s explanation for priming a pump (like yours) using a foot valve and a “stupid little hose” is the best way for priming your pump. Yes, you will use the hose fitting for priming. I attached one to mine and also used it to attach a water hose for blasting my bedrock. Good luck buddy 🤝

Blaster hose is a must when dredging, if ya wanna find the hiding color. We used a brass fire hose type nozzle with a shut off valve, it does rob pressure from the jet Also works great to ambush the dredge tender when they arent looking LOL Bill

Hi James, You have very fine pump there. I suggest keeping it! I was out two weeks ago and saw a guy running a land suction dredge all day 120 feet from the water. Cant beat that for the weight.
